24 / 77 GHz Radar
Radar sensors are found in a lot of automotive and industrial applications where they help to make our lives easier and saver:
- automatic cruise control
- emergency breaking assistant
- blind spot detection
- proximity detection
- motion detection
- and many more…
Using state-of-the-art integrated microwave semiconductor technologies provided by our parent company Infineon Technologies, DICE has started in 2004 with the development of integrated millimeter wave circuits which led to the world’s first fully integrated 77 GHz transceiver in Silicon-Germanium-technology in 2007.
Another highlight is the development of a family of radar products packed in an easy-to-use eWLB plastic package. Until today a whole portfolio of devices for 24 GHz and 77 GHz radar systems has been developed which are used in hundreds of thousands of cars every year.
Another aspect of our work is the development of highly integrated PLL-synthesizers which are a perfect complement to our microwave devices greatly facilitating the design of radar frontends.
