RFIC System Engineer

Job Description:
In our successful and
growing team we develop high frequency integrated circuits for mobile
phone communication industry using state-of-the-art semiconductor
technologies. Complex analog/mixed signal ICs that are used in second-
and third-generation mobile phones are developed with advanced design
tools and methods.
We are looking for a System Engineer (RF) who will be responsible
for the development and elaboration of new architectures and
specifications for next-generation wireless transceivers. Your tasks
include the development/simulation of new concepts, integration of
embedded microcontroller architectures, and modeling/research on
digital and analog signal processing for mobile transceiver
applications for GSM, UMTS, LTE, etc. Furthermore you will work on the
specification of sub-blocks for the design team. The main interfaces of
the concept engineer within the development project are the designers
during the transfer to the product integration as well as the
verification team and the customer, regarding the definition and
specification of the product.
Interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team, systematic work
habits, analytical approach, great willingness to learn and
communicative competence are important qualities for the successful
completion of the project.

Qualifications:
University/University of Applied Sciences: Electronics, Telematics,
Mechatronics with focus on microelectronics or telecommunications,
respectively.
Several years of working experience in RF system design or analog/mixed-signal IC design are desired, but not required.
Preferred experience in digital and analog signal processing,
simulation frameworks like Cadence, ADS, Matlab/Simulink, Verilog,
Mentor AMS, VHDL, SystemC, C++ and knowledge on mobile radio standards
(GSM, UMTS, LTE, ...)

English (Expert) required
